Brussels' Take: Three Main Topics from Congress 2025

Isabelle Roccia, IAPP Managing Director for Europe, reported that the IAPP Data Protection Congress 2025 focused on three primary themes: evolving job descriptions, integrating values with technology, and the pursuit of simplification. She also noted the European Commission's recent adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation Procedural Regulation on November 17th. This new EU regulation, a result of over two years of negotiations, seeks to streamline national administrative processes to enhance the cross-border enforcement of GDPR.
