EDPS Announces Upcoming Joint Guidelines on GDPR and AI Act Interaction

The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), Wojciech Wiewiórowski, has announced that joint guidelines detailing the interaction between the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the AI Act are expected early next year from the European Data Protection Board and the European Commission. This guidance aims to clarify how these significant EU digital regulations will work together, particularly as the legal landscape evolves and questions surrounding AI liability persist.
