European Commission Presents Digital Omnibus Package, Proposing Updates to GDPR and Other Digital Regulations

The European Commission introduced its Digital Omnibus Package on November 19, 2025, as a major update to the EU's digital regulations. This initiative aims to boost competitiveness, simplify processes, lessen administrative burdens, and improve legal clarity for businesses. While still subject to negotiations with the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, the package, if passed in its current form, will bring substantial changes to data protection, cookie policies, cybersecurity laws, and the EU AI Act.
